This piece is a paper collage using found imagery of the cosmos paired with geometric shapes created using the colours of the stars found in my own images of the night sky. the colours in this work are from the constellations Leo and Hydra combined with a found image of the Large Magellanic Cloud which is a satellite galaxy to the Milky Way.
Windows to Space is a series of collages which started out as a way to use excess materials left over from larger works. I loved the process of making the collages as they allowed me to work in different ways and use different materials to make my pieces.
All materials used in the collages are archival quality and I use archival-quality glue. Each piece is also treated with a UV protection spray

The work is framed in a white box frame with a floating mount with Art Glass which will ensure the longevity of the artwork.
